How can I see who viewed my video on YouTube?
Do you know that YouTube provides video creators with a wealth of
information in its Analytics section? You cannot find out the specific names of
people who have watched your videos, but you can get much useful demographic
information beyond just visual counts. Built-in analytics provides holistic
information about your audience that is similar to Google Analytics. Use
up-to-date metrics to monitor the performance of your channel and video.

How to view data in YouTube Analytics?
Depending on the type of data you are reviewing, you can create a line
chart to see how that data has changed over time. You can also view multi-line
charts and compare performance up to 25 videos. You can download the report on
your hard drive by selecting Export Current View (indicated by the arrow icon)
at the top of the screen.
Overview report: The first report listed under
Analytics is the tab overview. This is a high-level summary of how your content
is doing. The report includes performance matrix stigmatization clock time,
views and earnings (if applicable). It contains the data most relevant to
interactions such as comments, shares, favorites, likes, and dislikes.
The overview report also highlights the top 10 pieces of content for
your channel, audience gender and location, and top traffic sources.
Real-time activity: The Real-time Activity box under the
Overview section lets you view viewership statistics that are updated in
real-time, with intervals of only a few minutes. The two charts show approximate
views of your video in the last 48 hours and during the last 60 minutes, the
device type that accesses your video, the operating system of the device and
where the device is located.
The Access: Under the Reach tab, you'll get impressions, views,
exclusive views of your channel and more. You can also look at your channel's
traffic sources (are your viewers finding you through YouTube search, external
links, etc.?), How many times people clicked on the thumbnail of your video,
and the time taken to view Clicked for or not. Internal YouTube traffic sources
include YouTube search, suggested videos, playlists, YouTube ads, and other
features. External traffic data comes from mobile sources and websites and apps
to which your video is embedded or linked.
To get the most from this report, set a date range and look at the
sources. You can then filter sources and viewers for additional information.
Engagement: The engagement tab provides detailed information about how long
people watch your video. Here, you can see which videos have been viewed the
most, your most effective end screen videos, your top playlists by the time you
watch, and more.
The Audience: The Audiences tab breaks down the demographics of
your audience. It shows the age, gender, and geography of your audience. The
Device Type tab can show you what operating system and what type of device
people are using to watch your video. Devices include computers, smartphones,
TVs, and game consoles. You can also see which operating system they used, whether
more people watch live or on-demand, and which playlists are seen the most.
